The first Turkish diplomatic mission to Saudi Arabia,was established in 1926 in Jeddah, which was also accredited to the Republic of Yemenand Sultanate of Oman. Initially serving under the name of “Political Representation”, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkeymoved to thenew capital, Riyadh, in 1985along with the other diplomatic missions.
The Turkish Embassy has been serving at its current chancellery in Riyadh since 1990, with about 35 personnel. The Embassyalso contains thethe Office of the MilitaryAttaché, the Office of the Education Counsellor and the Office of the Labour Counsellor.
The consular services throughout Saudi Arabia are beingcovered by theEmbassy and the Turkish Consulate General in Jeddah. In this context, the georaphical regions that fall under the responsibility of our Embassy are Riyadh Region, Al-Jawf, Hail, Al-Kassim, the Northern Region (Arar), the EasternProvince and Najran.
